MediaReactor Dolby Vision for Adobe
Beta 2 version available for testing
Do you have Dolby Vision files you need to use in an Adobe workflow? Would you like to deliver your Rec 2100 PQ or HLG HDR content as Dolby Vision encoded formats? Take advantage of the high dynamic range of this format with our MediaReactor Dolby Vision for Adobe plugin.
|Windows 7 or greater|
Dolby Vision plugin for Adobe
Drastic's MediaReactor Dolby Vision plugin for Adobe is now available for beta testing. This plugin allows Adobe editors to read and write Dolby Vision HDR files directly in Adobe Premiere/Media Encoder/After Effects.
The Mediareactor Dolby Vision plugin provides Adobe users the ability to import both MOV and MP4 files that have been encoded with Dolby Vision into either the Rec 2100 PQ or HLG HDR color spaces supported by Adobe. They can also export media from either of these color spaces to Dolby Vision encoded formats. The supported export formats are Dolby Profiles 5, 8.1 and 8.4.
BETA 2 now with NVIDIA hardware encoding!
Now with the Beta 2 version of the Dolby Vision for Adobe plugin, most modern NVIDIA GPUs (6th gen or better) installed in the system will be detected, and automatically used to help speed up Dolby Vision HEVC 4:2:0 10 bit encoding.
Compatible GPUs are specified in the "HEVC 10-bit support" column in the NVEnc chart on this page:
Please note: If a Dolby Vision export is performed from an SDR color space, the output will be SDR and there will be no Dolby Vision processing.
The Dolby Vision plugin is currently available as a beta version for testing. We would be happy to provide a temp license so you can confirm your workflow is supported. Once you have downloaded the software, you can use our online demo licensing to generate a two week key for testing. If you need to extend your demo, you can contact us at email@example.com.
