QuickClipXO Flags

 

There are some flags that can be used to modify QuickClipXO.

 

QuickClipXO.exe [-nsthqrvd] [targetaddress[:port]]

  • n – No Overlay – do not attempt to bring up the live video overlay
  • s – Limit Size – limit the size to 1024x768 even if the screen is large enough for 1280x1024
  • t – Time Out Value – change the network time out value
  • h – HTML Dialogs – use HTML dialogs for open, add clip and record folder instead of Java dialogs
  • q – Disable QCRun – do not start the local sub system
  • r – Remote – Don't connect locally automatically
  • v – Force VGA Overlay on – Even if QuickClipXO did not start the sub system.  NOTE:  If you are running the Drastic DDR service, you will need to go to the Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services and right click the Drastic DDR service.  Under Properties, check the 'Allow service to interact with desktop' check box.
  • d – Debug mode

Address can be an IP address or full name, with or without port.

 

There are also some specific registry settings that are for QuickClipXO. Please note, these settings are now available within the DDRConfig utility.

\VVW\Advanced\VGA

  • DisableFullScreenXO – If non zero, do not open the DVI/~VGA window on the second monitor
  • ReduceVGAFrameRate – If non zero, reduce the overall frame rate of video to the VGA for weak VGA boards
    • 0 – no reduction, full frame rate
    • 1 – reduce frame rate if buffers are too low in play or high in record
    • 2 – target 1/2 normal frame rate, plus check buffers
    • 3 – target 1/3 normal frame rate, plus check buffers
    • 4 – target 1/4 normal frame rate, plus check buffers
  • DirectXEnable – If zero, do not use DirectX
